When can you park on yellow lines?

No one size fits all so check the signage to avoid a fine

I was in the gorgeous Cotswolds over the bank holiday weekend which sparked a debate with my husband over whether it was ok to park on single yellow lines on a bank holiday.

A quick 'google' on my phone came up with some areas of the country that did waive parking restrictions on bank holidays, but with others, the usual rules applied.

When we arrived in the beautiful village of Bourton-on-the-Water, we found a long line of cars all parked up on a single yellow line, but it was clear from the signage that the exemption came to an end at 11am, when as you can imagine, they all rather rapidly disappeared.

So to avoid getting caught out, here's my guide to all you ever needed to know about parking on yellow lines.....
